Mainly used for functionality, fun and when an enemy approaches your font. It is also possible to have your enemy summon something in your font or place a stealthed champion there. If you know the turn on which this will happen you can activate this ability and have one turn to save your font. You can also knock all enemies out of the font and secure it to win a middle font battle.
Forglar Swamp: You can use the spell flood to knock your enemies out of the font zone, even if it's on the end of your turn, because the flood effects are resolved before most other effects, including font contesting.
Savage Tundra: You can use Swap to relocate your unit onto the font, and your opponent's unit off the font. Follow this up immediately with Secure Fonts and he can't take it back next go. Lonx Defender as a next-turn-deploy is optional.
Ironfist Stronghold : You can use Converging Portals to clear out the font and charge in, at best with a Stalwart Defender . This ability is to be found on the Ambassadors of Fate only, which are:
