Many abilities and spells takes advantage of the paralyzed Condition, like Bane Blast and Paralytic Strike.
Being paralyzed is a requirement to possess, as unstoppable units cannot become paralyzed, they cannot possess other champions

This condition can be removed by the means of regular cleansing, and by damaging the affected unit, so you have to be careful with things like auras, damage over time effects and global damage sources that triggers at the end of the turn if you want to paralyze a unit.
