This champion remains one of FS's best runes. With a staggering 9 speed and 18 damage when near water, along with multiattack 2 and a DoT, the Frenzied Pirahnid can output a staggering amount of damage. He also makes an excellent target for a Tidemaster's Bandoleer. It fulfills his water requirement, while buffing his stats and facilitating undertow. A champion undertowed into a Frenzied Pirahnid's range usually doesn't stand a chance.

In a standard FS deck, Berserker 3 and Life Siphon are the best upgrade choices. Berserker 3 gives him an additional point of speed, along with some extra damage. Life Siphon increases his survivability, which is important due to the giant target on his head.

In an aquatic themed deck, Surge: Aquatic allows him to attain ridiculously high damage. Also, having Surge: Aquatic allows you to cast one or two Feeding Frenzies for an instant 5-10 damage boost.
