Description[]

When this unit is deployed from the runedock at a Shrine or when this unit destroys an opposing champion with a basic attack, your Shrine Deployment Zone expands by 1 squares. When a unit without this ability is deployed or this unit is destroyed, your Shrine Deployment Zone you control is reduced by 1 square. This effect does not increase the size of the Shrine bonus and cannot decrease the Shrine Deployment Zone below 3.

Comments[]

Both an ability and a theme, Creep is found on the Forsaken Wastes race of Mutants known as creepers. Deploying champions with this ability, as well as using them to kill an opposing champion, causes your Shrine Deployment Zone to increase in size.

History[]

On release Creep increased your shrine zone by 2 for each deploy, meaning that after deploying 4 champions you had an 11 space shrine zone and that by mid game you could deploy almost anywhere on the map. The ability was eventually nerfed into only gaining 1 space per deploy, shoeboxing almost all the creepers, before finally being changed to what it now is.

Analysis[]

A powerful tactical ability that provides creepers with a form of snowball effect to their gameplay, use your increased deployment zone to drop units straight into the fight or even in fonts. To increase your Creep spaces even faster, use units with Creep Master to kill enemies after weakening them with your other units, and remember that any unit you kill with an attack will trigger Creep, even summons or clones.

If you are planning on running a deck based on this ability, remember that deploying units without Creep will cause it to reduce its effect by 1, just as if one of your creepers had died.
